Strange Dream *only for readers with strong stomachs

I’ve had quite a few strange dreams over my lifetime. Lately, I’ve been dreaming about spiders, which–I’ve learned through dream study–is supposed to be a good thing. Spiders are somewhat a signifier of approaching enlightenment. Of course, I don’t know if that’s true for me, but I hope it is.

The strange dream that I can’t seem to escape even during wake hours has to do with getting sick (which has so many euphemisms that I must explore them for a just a moment…ralph, up chuck, hurl, riding the vomit comet, and many others). In my dream, I could not stop vomiting this green mass of capsule shapes that made a plastic clicking sound as it poured onto the ground. It was very vivid and odd and over very quickly.

And in analyzing the dream, I realized that it had to do with a purging of some sort. The only thing is, I don’t know what I purged, or perhaps what I still need to purge. But in the dream it was very disturbing and goes along with my long-time fear of spontaneous vomiting.

Yes, I know, it’s a very strange thing to fear. But I find that especially when I’m nervous, I think, “Wouldn’t it be horrible if I vomited uncontrollably in front of everyone?”

Some people have the repeated nightmare of being naked in public, while I have the far-too-awake fear of doing something nightmarish with no bathroom or trashcan in sight.
